I don't want to down play Home Depot but there Behr Premium Plus Ultra Pure White No.2050 was terrible!! The painter I hired told me to get Behr. He finally got it to cover a (light beige)wall after (3) coats!! He couldn't beleive it!! After I complained the manager of my local Home Depot automatically gave me 3 free gallons so I think he knows about this. He said he just painted a whole inside of a small 3 bedroom house with 13 gal. of velspar( He said Velspar 's hard to work with)and it took 8 1/2 gal. just to cover my master bedroom and bath!!!! What does Premium mean to Behr? 35b4166

I suspect there are more issues to be dealt with than the brief summary you are giving. Behr paint is rather good and something else is terribly awry if you are having that much of a problem covering walls.
